As a performer, Black Bag Production owner Joanna Jewett has been part of providing the soundtrack to countless area events and fundraisers. Now, with Black Bag Productions, she is creating live music events that give back to the CNY community. Every year, proceeds from Ladies Night at the Palace benefit Vera House, Inc. The Disco Ball, planned for early spring of 2020, will share a portion of the proceeds with Ophelia’s Place.

Black Bag Productions began as Red Shoes Black Bag Productions, which was started with her friend, Julie Briggs in 2014. Julie has since become owner and proprietor of The 443 Social Club & Lounge, which means she works about 90 hours a week. With limited-to-no time for other projects – or sleep or laundry – Julie is now 100% focused on building the 443 empire, and they decided to end Red Shoes Black Bag Productions in early 2019.

I am a ‘marketing goddess’ who specializes in fundraising and event planning. 

After years of working in media sales, I entered the non-profit world several years ago. I am currently (and proudly) serving as the Director of Development and Marketing for Arc of Onondaga. Known for my keen organizational skills, uber-positive attitude, and creativity, I have built a reputation as a ‘go-to’ idea person who can conceptualize and execute.

I am a former board member of the NY State Blues Festival and Harborfest. I served as co-chair of the Marketing committee of Safe Kids of Upstate New York, led by Golisano Children’s Hospital. I am currently a proud member of the Oswego Music Hall of Fame Board of Directors. As a professional vocalist with CNY bands Funkadelphia, The Mix Tapes, the CNY Songbirds and formerly with party band The Critics, I have emceed countless events and weddings. I am adept at working with musicians and other creative personalities.
